Uses for CD-RWs in 2025:

Temporary Data Backup and Transfer: For small, frequently changing data sets, CD-RWs can still be a quick and inexpensive way to back up or transfer files. This might be in situations where internet access is limited and IT Departments have restricted the use of USB ports and drives.

Creating Custom Audio Mixes/Playlists: Some audiophiles or enthusiasts still prefer physical media. CD-RWs allow for the creation of custom mixtapes or playlists that can be rewritten as desired, and played in older CD players (though compatibility with older players can be an issue compared to CD-Rs).
